random thoughts.

Ok, so i know i havent blogged in ages, though i have to admit, the whole blogging thing is harder than i thought it would be. i figured i would just be writing random things, baisically just be my random, slightly crazy self. but the more i try to blog, the less i seem to be able to think of things to write.

and you know another thing that's hard? taking the perfect profile pic. i've taken literally hundreds of pics and still havent found the right one. anyhoo. i've kiinda run out of things to say. hopefully i'll blog soon.

One More Hour

SO, in little over an hour is the day Avenged Sevenfolds new album is released and, i have to admit, i'm barely able to contain my exitement. if it was pouring with rain outside, and freezing with cold to boot, i would probably be camped out next to the letter box in my sleeping bag. that's how excited i am, unfortunatly, it's freezing and wet. so i'm staying inside, and i doubt i'm gonna sleep tonight, i'm just way too excited.

i have to say, i'm feeling majour mixed emotions.... will i like it, will it ever sound the same without Jimmy,or.... am i gonna be majourly dissappointed, i think A7X are gonna have a hard time replacing Jimmy, though i hear his 'fill-in' Mike Portnoy has managed to almost perfectly replicate Jimmy. it sounds as if Jimmy really is playing on 'Nightmare' but will the rest of the album do Jimmy justice. I'm praying they're able to produce just as amazing material, though it's sad to think he's gone.

Anyway, i cant think what else to write so i'm off to watch the minutes tick away until My Book Of Nightmares arrives, god help the post lady if it isnt there, i might even cry!

A7X Nightmare

So, there's only six days till the Avenged Sevenfold nightmare begins. Which also means i have to wait six whole days for the new album to be released.

anyways, i've only just seen the new Video, which i included in the post, and personally think it's totally awsome. and to think, there nearly wasnt an Avenged sevenfold. scary really. i've been trying to will the month to go faster but it just doesnt seem to want to. but.... six day's really isnt that bad, unless your a die hard A7X fan...... which i just so happen to be.

Tonight Alive's Ep.

Ok, so Tonight Alive are a sydney based Pop Punk band, sorta like Paramore, but better! i've been listening to them for about six months and am super psyhced abot the EP they released on the 18th of June. The EP is called All Shapes and Disguises, and they've just recorded the first music Video, for the song Wasting Away.(Which was filmed in different places all over Sydney!)

The band did a 10-date support tour in America and is starting to make waves there and back home .They have also opend for the likes of 3OH!3 and Mest - not bad for a band that only came together last year!

The Rev's Cause of death.c

To some, December 28th, 2009 and the days that followed were completely normal. To others, it was one of the worst days lived by an Avenged Sevenfold fan. James Owen Sullivan, also known as The Rev, died. Since then, no one has known exactly how he died. Now, the truth has come out.

On June 9th, 2010, it was confirmed that Orange County Deputy Coroner Mitchell Sigal told Rolling Stone that Jimmy had died from an accidental prescription drug and alcohol overdose. He suffered an "acute poly-drug intoxication due to combined effects of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam/Nordiazepam and ethanol.”

Oxycodone is a painkiller that substitutes for Codeine, Oxymorphone is a painkiller similar to Morphine, Diazepam/Nordiazepam are anxiety medications and ethanol is the intoxicant in alcohol. Jimmy had an enlarged heart, which was marked in the coroner's report as a condition that could have played a role in the drummer's untimely death. It is said that the Coroner's Department conducted quite a few tests to confirm this information.

Jimmy's private funeral was held January 6th, 2010 in Huntington Beach, California. Brian Haner Jr. (also known as Synyster Gates) delivered the eulogy and the attendees include the members of Avenged Sevenfold, Sullivan's wife and family, Bullet For My Valentine's Matt Tuck, ex-Pantera member Vinne Paul, and the members of My Chemical Romance and Buckcherry.

Learning Guitar.

i just started learning to play guitar and i never really realised just how hard it is to teach myself to play. i started off by getting books out of the library but i couldnt work out how to read them, see, i'm a left handed guitarist and i was trying to learn to play right handed. so back to the library i went, and searched until i found a left handed book.

then my next problem was my strings, they needed replacing so i've been running around searching for cheap guitar strings for an accoustic guitar. and after i got them it was a simple matter of stringing my guitar. but when i went to tune it, my tuner broke and i have no money to buy a new one. suddenly guitar is starting to look very difficult, but i've yet to give up on it.

let's just hope that once i'm able to tune it, things will get easier.

Frank Iero and MCR

Oh My God, i just found out Frank and his wife are going to be having twins later this year, how freaking cool. it's about time that MCR had something good happen. as frank has recently posted on a blog on their site

"Last, but certainly not least, I am proud to announce the addition of two new members to the MCR extended family. Recently, my wife and I found out we will be having twins later on this summer. I cannot express in words how happy this makes us, it seems everything’s turning up Milhouse. I just can’t wait to meet the little ones, and may God have mercy on the world now that there will be 2 more Ieros wreaking havoc on the earth."

Among the excellent news that there will be two mini-Frankie's running around and causing mischief, the new album by the band is doing "swimmingly". personally i cant wait for new stuff by MCR, they are apparently going back to the sound they had on "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" and "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love". i'm super excited to hear what they've been working on.

some revelations of the year so far.

so far this year has been interesting, one of the best surprises ive had are that avenged sevenfold are recording their new album, but some of the surprises i've had were out of the blue, eg, Bob Bryar and My Chemical Romance parting ways, someone tried to tell me he'd been fired, but i think it had to do with a pretty seriouse wrist/ arm injury. all i know is it's sad, first gerard getting sick and now bob leaving. but i also happened to knotice that two of my fave bands have had issues to do with the drummer. probably just a coincedense.

another surprise i had this year so far is that i realised that strangely enough, of all my friends, i seem to be the only one with no interest of setteling down, and yeah, i'm only twenty, but a lot of my friends have either bought places with their boyfriends/fiance's, or they're having babies. sure i want kids eventually, but at twenty, i know i'm still a kid, i'm not ready to get married, have kids, and honestly, the whole white picket fence deal has absolutly no appeal to me, but you know what does? Travel. i want to trevel to America, Rome, England, France.

honestly, when my friends ask what i see for the futer, it isnt kid's and it isnt marrige, it's travel, and they just cant seem to understand why. most of the girls i know seem to think having kids early is the way to go but i'm all for witing till i'm twenty eight. besides, i can help them raise their kids. well, we'll see, i cant say what the future holds but for now, travel is definatly something on my horizon.

Soundwave 2010

ok, so it's been almost a week since soundwave but i just had to post how freaking amazing it was. Shinedown and Escape The Fate were definatly the highlight of my day. the bands i got to see were AFI, Him, All Time Low, Paramore, Eagle's of Death Metal, Anti Flag, Placebo, Creepshow, Shinedown and Escape The fate. i ended up with pretty bad heatstroke, to the point i was throwing up, but i wouldnt change the experiance for the world. this was my second time attending Soundwave, and if youv'e never been, it's one thing you have to do.

one thing that makes it a bit difficult is the fact the days get up towards 40oc heat. i watched a girl get dragged from the moshpit unconciouse because she overheated, and one of my group had to go home with severe heat stroke, so water is a massive must. i seriously cant wait for next years Soundwave, ive got my fingers crossed for Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For My Valentine to play.

Shutter Island

Oh My God, this movie is sooo amazing. i usually cant stand leo DeCaprio, but he was amazing in this. everyone should tottally go see this. i have to say this tottally messes with your head til the end. i really didnt expect the ending. some people think this is supposed to be scary but it's not. all it has is one slightly scary part. if there's one movie you need to see it's Shutter Island

WTF (Rant alert)

Oh my god, why do people talk shit about people, if you got nothing nice to say, then shut the fuck up, talking trash is so fucking wrong. if you got something to say, tell the person to their face, not talk trash on you stupid facebook page. its bullshit, grow some balls and deal withit, dont whine and bitch on Facebook/myspace/twitter. i'm so sick of people's over emotional Bullshit. learn to admmit your wrong, enough of the poor me shit. grrr.

(Sorry about the swearing, just neede to rant and get it out of my system)

OMG

Oh my God, i just heard that avenged Sevenfold have started recording their new album, I'm kinda sad but happy at the same time, I'm sad cos it wont be The Rev on the drums but at the same time I'm happy that they have decided to continue on after such a heartbreaking tragedy. also a big yay for Mike Portnoy who will be doing the drums for the album, not sure whether he's joining the band permanently tho.

also, i just found out that Bullet For My Valentine's Album, Entitled "Fever" will be released in April, plus I'm still trying to find out when My Chemical Romance's Album will be out.
I'm totally phyced about Soundwave, one week to go and counting.

my sweet weekend.

so, over the weekend i did a course with a pretty cool program called Success And you. i learnt quite a lot, but the best pert was meeting Clare and Mandy. i have never met anyone as close in personality to me as clare but i gotta say, i'm super glad i met her. and if your reading this hunny. hey. as for mandy, she's tottally awsome to. hey mandy. anywhoo, gotta go, hoping this week is gonna keep on getting better.

oh, and you know the free hugs guy, well, i'm hoping to do that too soon, just gotta seek a little legal advice first, i've been told i could possibly get arrested. fingers crossed though, i should be doing that next week.

my thoughts.

this year should have been awsome for a few reasons, but it's started off eally sucky. i'll list my very short reasons of why it sucks so far,

1. the Rev passed away on the 28th of December. (Ok, technacally he died last year but i'm still devastated)

2. because of the Rev's tragic death, the album Avenged Sevenfold shoulda been recording, isnt gonna be recorded anytime soon. and i'm super desperate for new stuff.

3. Good Charlotte have scrapped their album and are re-doing it, which tragically means i have to wait until next year for new music,

and last but not least.

4. My Chemical Romance have announced they wont be going to soundwave. they were my main reason for going. i feel severly disappointed. fortunatly the appearances of Paramore, AFI and HIM mean i didnt waste $150.(Get better soon Gerard)

ok, so here's my reason this year should rock (Hopefully)

1. Bullet for my Valentine, My Chemical Romance, In This Moment, Escape the Fate and HIM all have new albums being released this year.

2. I heared a rumour Bullet for my Valentine is gonna be touring over here, mid to late this year (Here's hoping it's true)

3. i'll be 21 at the end of the year (Did someone say Party?)

4. soundwave is next month!

so all i can say is fingers crossed that this year will be better than last year.
